Day 1:
Arrival in Palghat by mid morning and transfer to coconut plantation with the mountains as a backdrop - to set up camp. Here you can watch the daily activities in a coconut plantation and also enjoy the total rusticity of a remote village. There is a small stream running through the property and also a Borewell for water. Watch toddy tapping, coconut felling etc. O/N at the camp.

Day 2:
Early morning trek upto the Sita kund a small lake where the goddess Sita is believed to have rested. Packed lunch at the lake and return to the base camp by sunset. O/N at the camp.

Day 3:
AM after an early breakfast pack up transfer by a traveller van to a nearby wildlife sanctuary "Parambikulam". Evening return by the van to Kanadi village for the night. O/N at a traditional village home.

Day 4:
Visit the nearby potter's house to watch clay pots and utensils being made, go on a Bullock cart ride through the surrounding countryside of paddy fields and in the evening visit the local village Shiva temple to watch the closing rituals. A musical session by temple musicians of the village will be arranged for at the house in the night.

Cycles can also be arranged for to explore the countryside. O/N at the house.

Day 5:
After breakfast check out and transfer to Palghat junction railway station to board the train to Cochin or elsewhere.
